How to configure the Tableau Magento connector
Follow these steps to configure the connector:
Step 1: Configure Magento connector module
- Log in to your Magento admin panel.
2. Make sure the Tableau Connector folder is in the expected path from which App/Code/Webkul/Tableau Connector is extracted.
3. Run the commands below in your terminal.
- `php bin/magento setup:db-schema:upgrade`
- `php bin/magento configuration: upgrade`
- `php bin/magento cache: clean`



Step 3: configure the connector in Magento
- In the Magento admin panel, enter Tableau credentials under Tableau Connector configurations.

Workbook embed code – To embed the board workbook, you need a unique code.
When you click the share button in Tableau, it provides code to embed the workbook in third-party systems, like Magento.
- Select the project you want to import into your Tableau dashboard.

- Click the Share button.

- Copy the embed code from the pop-up screen.

- Paste it into the Tableau dashboard.

- To view the embedded workbook dashboard, go to the Tableau Connector Dashboard page.
Cron job—A cron job is a scheduled task that runs automatically at specified intervals to synchronize your Magento and Tableau data.

Step 4: Mapping
- Run a mapping to ensure the connection is active.
